It's suitable for hard floors, with particular applications in the home, garage, workshop and car interior. It can vacuum material such as gravel, sawdust, plaster, brick dust and liquid spills. It can also be used to unblock drains, pipes and plugholes without a plunger.

In terms of construction, the Blaupunkt WD5000 is lightweight and compact, allowing for easy transportation and a high degree of manoeuvrability. There are several accessories, including a 2 metre suction hose with a 32mm diameter, a 30cm hard floor head, a crevice tool, three paper filter bags, a wet filter and three extension tubes. It has a 15 litre stainless steel tank, and can operate with or without a bag.
